A new published analysis by Professor David Bell of Stirling University has revealed that Scotland is actually wealthier than its neighbors. It appears that Scots have more cash in their pockets than the citizens of the Scandinavian countries whose living standards aligned with Scottish Nationalist Party. The study shows that it tops other countries in terms of disposable income or the gross income of an individual or firm from which direct taxes have been deducted.
When someone mentions the word ‘megacity’, it evokes a scene of swarming people, towering buildings and skyscrapers. It can be New York, or Tokyo, or Seoul, or Mexico City. But none of the Scandinavian countries come to mind when talking about megacities. Right now, there is no megacity in Scandinavia, but there is an 8 Million city project being worked on to achieve the size of a New York megacity. Cultures, even in business, are formed by attitudes, traditions, and practices distinct to the place. And in Sweden, the business etiquette and culture is as well different . Sweden is one of the world’s leading countries in corporate social responsibility. When doing business in Sweden, issues such as climate change, gender, human rights and anti-corruption usually matter the most. The World Economic Forum (WEF), in cooperation with its partner institutions, conducted a study to measure the productivity of 144 nations in the midst of global economic challenges. In its Global Competitiveness Report for 2012-2013, it revealed each country’s economic performance based on the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI), a comprehensive tool for assessing the microeconomic and macroeconomic foundations of national competitiveness (weforum.org).

Education is one of the major areas that nation leaders prioritize. Improvements in education are backed up by huge finances, excellent program planning, and effective implementation.
